Best answer

Commonly used injection molding materials for custom electronic wiring harnesses include:

  • LD-PE inner mold material: It has softness, extensibility, transparency, cold resistance and processability, good chemical stability, can resist acid, alkali and salt solutions, and has good electrical insulation and breathability.
  • PVC materials of various hardnesses: mainly used in the outer mold injection molding of connectors, with the characteristics of being light, waterproof and moisture-proof, flame retardant and heat insulating.
  • TPE material: Mainly used for injection molding of external molds of connectors. It is easy to process, has high production efficiency, short molding cycle, relatively stable properties, and has good temperature resistance, aging resistance, chemical resistance, and solvent resistance.
  • TPU material: Mainly used for injection molding of outer molds of connectors. Its advantages are elasticity, oil resistance, low temperature resistance, and wear resistance. It has the advantages of both plastic and engineering plastics. It is environmentally friendly and harmless to the human body and nature. The hardness range is wide. By changing the proportion of each reaction component of TPU, products with different hardness can be obtained.
  • PP material: It is a crystalline plastic, usually in the form of irregular round white particles with a waxy luster on the surface. It is the lightest kind of plastic and has a relatively obvious melting point. Depending on the crystallinity and molecular weight, the melting point is 170 °C, and its decomposition temperature is above 290 °C. PP can be used at temperatures up to 100°C, has good electrical properties and high-frequency insulation, and is not affected by humidity.
