Dross in a plasma cutting table refers to the residue formed by molten metal particles between the cutting tool and the workpiece during the plasma cutting process. These particles will cause the processing surface to be rough and reduce processing accuracy and production efficiency. The problem of slag hanging is common in the plasma cutting process. It may be due to the cutting speed being too fast, which causes the molten metal to not have enough time to discharge from the cutting gap, thus forming slag hanging. To solve this problem, try slowing down the cutting speed to give the plasma enough time to completely flush out the molten metal.

Increasing cutting gas flow can help reduce dross problems. Improper design of cutting gaps: The design of cutting gaps is also critical to reducing the problem of slag hanging. If the gap is too narrow or too wide, it may lead to slag hanging.
Generally speaking, when a CNC cutting machine cuts thick plates with flame, the cutting surface has a high smoothness without burrs and hanging slag; however, during the cutting process, due to the cutting oxygen pressure or the discomfort of the cutting nozzle attachment, there will be production on the cutting surface or lower edge that is difficult to remove.
